This election will be an election by mail.  Each active registered voter residing within the District will receive a ballot by mail at his/her address as it appears on the voter registration register; and therefore no polling places will be open for voting. Ballots will be mailed between October 14, 2025 and October 24, 2025.

  2. Be on the lookout for your ballot
  3. Fill out your ballot completely, follow the detailed instructions
    • Mark you ballot > write driver’s license # > sign and date envelope > seal
  4. Return your ballot
    • If returning by mail, do so immediately upon receipt

Are you freshly eighteen? Or have you never voted? Go to www.votercheck.necvr.ne.gov to register. If you’re already registered, you can also check this site to make sure it’s listing the Ashland-Greenwood Special Election. If you live in the district and it’s not appearing, you may need to update your information.

Update your registration today.

Your voter registration must list your current address for you to receive a ballot. Go to www.nebraska.gov/apps-sos-voter-registration to update your info, or call your county clerk at the number listed below.

Ensure your signature is consistent.

Your signature on your ballot must match that on your license and on file with the county, or your ballot could be tossed. 

You do not have to own property to vote. Do you rent or live in an assisted care community? Your voice still counts! You simply have to be registered.

This special election will be conducted by mail, so please ensure your ballot arrives at your county courthouse by 4:30 p.m. on that Tuesday. The best way to guarantee its arrival is to turn it around immediately or to hand-deliver it to your courthouse.
